Seán De Búrca specializes in corporate and health care assignment photography. Much of this photography is produced in the form of commissioned image library production for the global advertising industry.
Seán's clients include Ogilvy, FCB, TBWA Chiat Day, Harrison & Star, Saint Francis Cardiac Hospital NY , Aviva UK, Scholz & Friends, Imperial Ukraine, E Trade and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Growing up the son of an Irish country veterinarian De Búrca often accompanied his father on house calls to rural farmsteads. The house calls were varied and included calving heifers, caesarean section on Yorkshire terriers, irrational house cats and racehorses with influenza. Later to pay his way through university in Dublin, Seán worked as a medical photographer at the Mater Misercordiae hospital in Dublin, Ireland. On graduating college De Búrca emigrated to the US where his work is primarily focused on lifestyle advertising for the financial and healthcare industries.
While the majority of his assignment work is still US based, over 38% of his 2011 assignments were to countries outside of North America. Seán has extensive production partnerships in South America, Eastern Europe, Asia and Western Europe.
